HMD Global launched the Nokia X5 smartphone in China on Wednesday. This is the second Nokia smartphone to sport a notch display after the Nokia X6. Nokia X5 is priced at CNY 999 (Rs 10,200 approximately) for the base variant and CNY 1,399 (Rs 14,300 approximately) for the top model.

Nokia X5 looks similar to the Nokia X6, except that its slightly smaller notch leaves more room for display. The smartphone is wrapped in 2.5D glass, and comes in black and blue variants.

Nokia X5 features a 5.86-inch HD+ display with 19:9 aspect ratio and 2.5D glass on top. Under the hood of the smartphone runs MediaTek’s Helio P60 octa-core processor. In terms of storage, the smartphone comes in two variants of 3GB RAM plus 32GB storage and 4GB RAM plus 64GB storage. There’s also a microSD card slot for further expansion up to 256GB.

Nokia X5 sports a dual-camera setup at the rear, comprising 13-megapixel and 5-megapixel cameras with an LED flash. Up front, it has an 8-megapixel camera with f/2.2 aperture for selfies. Its connectivity options include dual-4G VoLTE, USB Type-C, 3.5mm audio jack, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.2.

The smartphone can be unlocked through facial recognition as well as rear fingerprint sensor. It is fuelled by a 3,060mAh battery. On the software front, it runs Android 8.0 Oreo. Nokia X5 will be upgradable to the upcoming Android P OS.
